THANK you for supporting the Fairview PTA and therefore your own child as well as others both here and across Illinois and the USA.
Together we are part of something bigger than Fairview. We belong to the National PTA and Illinois PTA. To support these structures we need to share the dues collected ($3.25). Costs have increased and the Illinois PTA has increased their dues by .50 per person ( $3.75). At the Fairview PTA General Meeting in January we voted NOT to pass this increase onto our members, but to absorb it. The Fairview PTA will continue to have dues of $5.00 for individual and $10 for Family for the 2010-2011 School Year. Just wondering, did you send your membership check for this year yet? We do need your financial support. We promise we will not call you just because you joined the PTA.
There are GREAT Things happening at Fairview in the Month of February. The Reading Recognition Skating Party is Saturday February 13th 4:30 to 6:30. If you completed your reading minutes on time, an invitation will be coming your way.
Winter Blood Drive 2/16 12:30-6pm at D54 Administration Bldg on Schaumburg Road.
Incoming Kindergarten registration is 2/24 from 9am-11am, 1-2:30pm and 6PM-8pm
One Night – Two Great Events at One Fantastic School.
It is back …………….. Celebrate Reading & Writing and Pasta Night - Friday February 26th 6PM – 8:30. Make plans to attend. Where else can you read upcoming authors and dine with friends. Look inside the Flyer for details on both events.
My time as PTA President is drawing to a close. The Nominating committee is seeking individuals to be part of the next executive board. Please consider taking on an active role in your PTA. Seeking nominations for President, 1st VP, 2nd VP, Treasurer, Recording Secretary and Corresponding Secretary. Please nominate yourself or a friend for one of these positions.
